Ahhhhhhh V-day! I have always hated Valentines Day. My friends that were in relationships used to tease me and say that I only hated Valentines Day because I didn't have a boyfriend! WELL.....I do have a boyfriend now and GUESS WHAAA....I STILL HATE IT! I actually believe that V-day is the most commercialized, ridiculous, pathetic day of the year. You're made feel like a loser if you don't have anyone to celebrate with and you feel pressurized to spend money when you do have a partner. As a society, we give into the encumbrance of the media on a daily basis and V-day is just another one of those days! Sorry, rant over....
Moving on quickly from my rantiness.....although I don't like V-day I do LOVE makeup and for you girls that will be celebrating the day, I thought I'd share some V-day inspired looks with you. I do love the colours that are associated with the day so here are a few looks that I came up with!

This look reminds me of candy floss!! NOM! I used tha Smashbox Wondervision Mega palette for this look. Absolutely LOVE this palette, it is gorgeous. This is such a sweet Valentines Day look that would be perfect for the daytime. I used a white kohl pencil from Catrice on the Waterline and smudged black eyeliner from Penneys on the lid. The mascara is from Essence.
I used the Urban Decay Vice 1 and 2 palettes for this look. Absolutely OBSESSED with Urban Decay and especially the vice palettes. I'd wear this look day or night. I love how all the colours work so well together, especially the gold on the inner corner. I have been using gold on this part of the eye a lot lately. I think it really complements my eye colour and brings out the yellowy-brown in my eye. I used black liquid eyeliner and falsies from Penneys and Essence mascara.
Aw man, I love dark smokey eyes! There is something so sexy about them. It's like 'BOOM! There's my eye.' If I wasn't so pale I would definitely wear this eye makeup during the day. I used the Urban Decay Vice palettes for this look again. I don't usually bring the darkest colour all the way to my inner corner but I wanted to try something different and really love the finished look. The black eyeliner is from Penneys and I think it really brings the look together. I always use a black eyeliner on the waterline when creating a dark smokey eye. The falsies are again from Penneys and the mascara from Essence.
Again, I used the Smashbox Wondervision Mega palette for this look. There is such a gorgeous rich purple in this palette and I just had to use it for this look. The colour purple is such a complimentary colour for my green eyes. It really does make green eyes pop and it's one of my favourite colours in general. The Liquid eyeliner, pencil eyeliner and falsies are all from Penneys. I LOVE the purple liner on the waterline, I feel that it fully completes the look and again brings out the green eyes and makes them more intense.
So that's all my looks for this blog post. I hope you enjoyed them all and try them out too. Have a great day no matter what you get up to.
